The founder of M/s Indian Steel Traders was late Mr. S.M. Ahamed, former President – The South India Iron & Hardware Merchants Association (SIIHMA), one of the pioneers in the steel trading industry. He founded our parent company, M/s. S.M. Ahamed in the year 1950 and started the trade business in the field of Iron & Steel industry.In the year 1964 under his management he started M/s Indian Steel Traders which traded products like CTD bars, M.S. Wires, M.S. Rods and other structural products.
Mr. S.M.A. MD. Saleem the third son of Mr. S.M. Ahamed took over the management in the year 1980. Since then the company has excelled in the sector of Iron & Steel trading throughout Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry for the past decades. The primitive focus of Indian steel Traders shifted to TMT bars, Cements & Structural products catering the Trade sector and Building & Construction Industry under the guidance of Mr. S.M.A.MD. Saleem.
M/s Indian Steel Traders is now a whole sale distributor and dealer enterprise dealing with top brands in the Iron & steel sector in Tamil Nadu. We also have our retail outlets exclusive for roofing sheets namely M/s Victory Steel Corporation in Chennai and M/s Iron House which caters the needs of all the Building & Industrial related materials in Madurai.
Our portfolio includes the service of supplying the leading real estate developers and construction companies in Tamil Nadu. We also have a wide range of supply chain network throughout Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry catering about 500 dealers and sub dealers.
